What I'm Reading Now (March 2016)

Earlier this week I shared with you a bible study I just completed Becoming More with Proverbs 31.  There were a few times when life got busy and I fell behind during the week, but I caught back up on the weekend. I made it all the way through to the end! This was HUGE for me!  I had started a bible study a few months earlier and quite halfway through, I was so proud I had the discipline (which is one of my words for 2016) to complete the entire study.

Here are the books/studies I am reading while I am waiting for the next P31OBS study to begin in April.

I am joining the March Book Club at (in)courage to read Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer. It has been both challenging and inspiring so far.

Priscilla Shirer brings her role from the War Room movie into real life, addressing the topics that affect you the most:  your identity, your family, your regrets, your pressures, your temptations, your fears, your attitudes, and more.  Fervent is a hands-on, knees-down, never-give-up action guide to practical, purposeful praying.

Head over to (in) courage to join the book club today!

I am digging deeper into the Word of God and really getting to know God in a very personal way.

This Bible Study with P31 is now closed but you can start the study on your own. If your interested in starting this study you can order the book here or from Amazon.

In this five-session Bible study, Wendy Blight implements her practical and approachable style to equip readers to study the Word of God and then apply it to their own lives in practical ways. This study is for any woman who wants to move beyond simply knowing about God to really knowing God in a very personal way. Join Wendy as she teaches how the very names of God reveal His character and heart.

This study will help women to:
  •  Realize their infinite worth as they explore the nature of the God who created and formed them.
  •  Live with bold assurance that their God is a personal God who sees them, hears them, and knows them by name.
  •  Walk confidently in knowing both who they are and Whose they are.
  •  Arm themselves with seven tools to pray more confidently and effectively in any situation or circumstance.
  •  Transform their walk with Jesus as they discover how He fulfills the Old Testament names of God.
This book includes biblical and historical background insights, practical application, and a memory verse for each chapter. The study may be completed individually or with a small group.

Chapters Include:
  1. Elohim: The One Who Created You
  2. El Roi: The One Who Sees You
  3. Jehovah Nissi: The One Who Stands Guard Over You
  4. Jehovah Rapha: The One Who Heals You
  5. More Magnificent Names
Can be used alone or with I Know His Name: A DVD Study (9780310089018).

Inscribed is a collection of Bible studies that lead women to not just survive but thrive by encouraging them to immerse themselves in the Word of God.

I would love to hear about what you are reading now.
