About/Disclosure

Hello and welcome to Grace.Faith.Compassion! I am Casey Snyder, the author of this blog. I have two lovely and strong-willed daughters with whom I share my life and passions.  I currently live with them in Texas but I am a Tennessee native. My passions are God, family, friends, Compassion International, blogging, fair trade, photography and reading.

I also love helping out where I can. In November 2013, I decided to sponsor a child. We were holding a Compassion Sunday and the young man who spoke was part of the Kenyan Compassion program. He spoke about how much the program had impacted positively on his life and his message deeply moved me. I can’t express how sponsoring has been a huge blessing to me. It has also grossly impacted on my daughters as well. My 8 year old daughter was quick to note it and told my 5 year old daughter that it is not about the letters we receive from them but about those letters we send to show them love and care and the happiness we get from praying for them and from sending the letters. You can learn more about sponsoring a child here.
It also brings me gratitude and joy in giving fair trade gifts when I figure out how beneficial it is for all involved from the artisan to the recipient. It allows us to send out treasured gifts to our loved ones while benefiting someone who is deeply in need. Gifts from the depths of our hearts bear more meaning to the recipients and carry more meaning of love and care. You can read all about Fair Trade Friday here.
We are truly passionate about helping people and more so empowering the vulnerable. Our success comes from letting them discover their own value. Our greatest desire is that one day they actually come to see their actual value in the God who created them. For now we are engrossed in helping them realize their value in creating something wonderful; with marketing they are able to supplement or sustain their families. We also strive to foster real life relationships with many of the artisan we collaborate with.
