Seasons of friendship

http://www.iliketoquote.com/a-friend-accepts-us-as-we-are-yet-helps-us-to-be-what-we-should/

I received a beautiful message from a friend saying she has never had a friend like me before. Someone who has changed and shaped her thoughts for the better. I am blessed to have her and my other close friends in my life at this moment.

I have had many friendships through all the seasons of my life. God has a way of always putting people in our lives right when we need them and how we need them. Through this season of my life God has blessed me with some pretty amazing friendships. These women accept me for who I am and are helping me become who God has planned for me to be in this season of my life.

So thank you friends for...

encouraging me to come out of my hermit mode comfort zone;

being an amazing support system for myself and my daughters;

being there during the dark times as well as the light;

they are truly the iron that sharpens my iron.

I love what Kristi Woods (in)courage says about iron sharpening friendship

Iron Sharpening Friendships
True friends sharpen friends, their countenance, their walk, their day. The beauty of a sharpened friend cuts through life with truth, strength, and love, releasing the fragrance of Christ to the surrounding air. Their iron encourages and says you can do this. Its steadfastness is a reminder to drink from the Lord’s strength.
Friendship is a ministry in and of itself, and it is beautiful. And an iron-sharpening-iron friendship? It’s life-changing, and it’s for God’s glory.

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” {Proverbs 27:17, NLT}
