Another Road Trip to Glen Rose, Texas

 We went back to Glen Rose, TX in June for some fun with friends.  It was right after we received a ton of rain and the area around Glen Rose has flooded.  Despite not being able to go into the water we had a really fun time at Dinosaur Valley State Park and Downtown Glen Rose.

We stayed the night at the Best Western in Glen Rose. I would highly recommend this hotel, the rooms were nice and the kids loved that there was more than one pool. They also had a great breakfast and of course we made our own Texas State Waffles.

I loved browsing the shops on the square. We ate lunch at The Green Pickle. They had the best burgers and of course we tried the fried pickles.  The pie and soda was amazing at Pie Peddlers. 

We also drove over to City Beach Park in Granbury to spend half the day. The beach was a little washed out from all the rain but we still enjoyed it. They also have a little splash pad for the little ones. Adults can rent Paddle boards during the summer.
